I love to create
My first memories of art as a young child began with the Chicago Tribune Sunday newspaper. As a youngster, I routinely singled out the comic strip sections and feverishly worked to emulate the artistry of Jim Davis. After mirroring his techniques, I soon was able to draw his cartoons from memory which became the cornerstone of my passion for artistic creation and graphic innovation.
My love for art continued to expand and grow through my school age years as I developed a personal style which I fine-tuned through my education as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Major at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. After earning my BFA in Graphic Design, I was able to apply my artistry and techniques through my professional experiences as an illustrator and graphic designer.
I have a distinctly creative eye, respect for detail, and passion for artistic solutions which I display through both professional and personal lenses. My art is diverse and can be described as frolicsome at times, but can also be sober, dimensional, fluid and captures the color and message of the human experience.
